Grand Teton National Park - Day One

Our first day at the park was actually only a couple of hours in the evening.  After getting directions to some places to find bears, we traveled into the park.  The skies were overcast and the tops of the Tetons were in the clouds.  It seemed like a black and white day.  We did not find any bears, but on Signal Mountain male Dusky Grouse were strutting alongside the road.  They were very cooperative.  In fact, if you stayed low and got closer to them they would go into full display.

Your photos are wonderful! While I really enjoyed the great capture of the “Dusky Grouse”, I particularly like how you managed to seize the true ruggedness of Grand Teton.
